pj newman is a producer, engineer and musician. pj also works in live music production as a sound engineer and production manager in the Seattle area. He has worked at various clubs and festivals around the Pacific Northwest, including The Backstage, The Tractor Tavern, The Northshore Performing Arts Center, Bumbershoot, Bite of Seattle, WOMAD, Taste of Tacoma, Portland Saturday Market (from which he produced and engineered 3 CD's) and The Portland Art Museum (2 more CD's from that).pj has 4 CD's out as the leader and driving force behind the Chinese Dog Girls as well as a few solo outings. pj says that for every record he released, there are 2 or 3 that have or never will see the light of day. His latest CD, The Hand of Dog, was released August 23rd 2005 on Seattle's Origin Records.
pj lives in Seattle with a dog and cat in a small house with a lot of holes in the yard.
